San Diego Family-Friendly Holiday Events
It’s time to get your stockings out and your wreaths hung. San Diego is pretty far from the North Pole, but that doesn’t mean the holiday season can’t be felt in our city that gets 300 days of sun each year. There are plenty of things to see and places to visit to soak up the holiday cheer all over San Diego. Here are just a few of them:
- San Diego Zoo– Starting December 12 and running until January 3, it’s Jungle Bells at the zoo. Everyone is invited to hop aboard the Twinkle Light Trolley to see the animal sculptures all over the zoo lit up in holiday lights. Santa just might be there, too.
- Legoland– Up the road in Carlsbad, they’re expecting snow. From now until January 3, real snow is falling at Legoland. Kids can build snowmen and people of all ages can take a slide on a snow tube. We mentioned the 300 days of sun . . . take advantage of real snow in Southern California.
- San Diego Botanic Gardens– Each night until the end of December (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day), the Garden of Lights will be illuminating the night. Expect dazzling light displays and festive music sung by carolers and mariachis.
- Neighborhood Lights– One of the best ways to show holiday spirit is through electricity! Several San Diego communities are well-known for over-the-top holiday house decorating. We recommend visiting Point Loma, Christmas Card Lane in Rancho Peñasquitos, Jingle Bell Hill in El Cajon, and Christmas Circle in Chula Vista.
Everyone at The Law Office of Thomas M. Huguenor hopes you and your family have a safe and fun holiday season.
